Callie Jackson's emergence as a force continues as for the third straight game the freshman has scored in the double-digits to lead Georgetown College women's basketball. She's a lift off the bench, helping GC to a second straight win in Puerto Rico.
It was a dominate second quarter against University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez, where the Tigers (11-3) held their opponent to just seven points. This gave the visitors a double-digit lead at the break and they never looked back in a 64-48 win.
Jackson scored 13 points, while Grace White chipped in with 10 and 10 rebounds. Madison Darnell dominated the glass with a career-high 19 rebounds. Darnell and Jalynn Landversicht scored eight points, while Jazzmyn Elston had nine.
Georgetown now takes a break for the holidays and will return to action 6 pm Jan. 3 at Campbellsville University.
