Flores' gem leads Tigers to consolation bracket final

Georgetown College baseball continues to dance as the team won its third in four games in three days. A big part of the Tigers (35-17) success is pitching and Mathew Flores' gem was the backbone in the first game Saturday. He went the distance in a complete game, shutout win with 100 pitches (69 for strikes).

GC won 5-0 against Thomas More University to advance to the consolation bracket finals Saturday evening, 7 pm ET, facing Freed-Hardeman University. The Tigers and Lions played Friday afternoon. FHU jumped out early and held GC's offense down.

Georgetown hung a three spot in the bottom of the second and let Flores take over from there. He set down 10 straight starting in the top of third. In the process, his offense added more insurance in the fifth and seventh innings.

Josh Duarte, Eric Thrower, Chris O'Neal and Isaiah Bumgarner all had two hits each. Eric Thrower had three RBI's and a run.
