Timely Hitting Sees Tigers get Swept

Looking to avoid getting swept in the Cajun Collision, the Tigers would send out twin Chad Baker against Oregon Tech. Chad would look similar to Trevor in terms of dominance for the first 4 and ? innings. Baker would not K as many batters as Trevor, but he would work efficiently to get through the OTU lineup. He looked like he would get through 5 innings, but a controversial call would not go the way of Georgetown. So Baker would have to get another out, and unfortunately be unable to do so. He would hit the next two guys, and the bases would be loaded. Oregon Tech would capitalize and plate all three runs on a double in the gap. Bryson Huwar would be called upon again, and be able to get out of the inning and only allow the Tigers to be down 3-0 entering the bottom of the 5th. Huwar would give up two more runs in the 6th. In the 7th, Mason Mortimer would enter, and immediately be attacked by the bunt. OTU would lay down four perfect bunts in the inning, and get a run from it.

Once again, the Tigers would look like they were going to start out hot, but they would be nullified quickly. A leadoff double from Jarrett Chapman made it seem like they would get a run in the first, but the Tigers would be unsuccessful. The Tiger offense would not look back to life until the 6th inning. A hit by pitch to Joey Lapolla and single from Chapman would give the Tigers two runners on and no out. The Tigers looked as if they would plate their first of the game on a single from Payton Rios, but Lapolla would be gunned down at home. However, Hank Schineller would single home Chapman for their first of the game. Jose Cazorla would then plate Rios on a ground out. That would be all for the Tigers, as in the 7th, they would put up a little effort.
