Barrera Twirls Gem in Series Finale

In the 4th game of the series, the Tigers would get their best start of the year from Anthony Barrera. This would be Barrera's first start of the year for the Tigers, and would be down right dominant. Barrera would turn in his best 'Trevor Baker' impersonation. Barrera would toss 8 shutout innings. Over his 8 innings, he would K 8 batters and walk none. Only at 91 pitches, there was potentially a thought that he could go back out for the 9th, but Bryson Huwar would come in. Huwar would overpower the SAU lineup, and go 1-2-3. Barrera moves to 1-1 on the year.

The offense looked primed to break out after the result from the first two batters. Leading off, Joshuha Duarte would have a hustle double, and then be moved to third on a bunt from Landon Dismang, who beat the throw at first. He would then promptly steal third. But, this is where it has stalled all year for the Tigers, they were unsuccessful in scoring from here. In the third, Duarte would get his second hit of the game to lead off the game. Eventually, he would be on third with 1 out. However, like Schineller in game two, he would score via a wild pitch, to give the Tigers their first lead of the series at 1-0. Once again in the 5th, the Tigers would get going again because of the guy at the top of the lineup being the focal point. The 9 hole, Austin Vincent, walked to start the inning. Duarte would then get his 3rd hit of the day via a perfectly placed bunt. Another perfect bunt from Dismang would get the Tigers runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. This time the Tigers would cash in, Sam Turilli would get his second hit of the game by hitting a double into the right-center gap. This pushed the Tigers lead to 4-0. They would get their 5th, thanks to a sac-fly from Duarte in the next inning. Duarte ended the day 3-3 with 2 runs and an rbi.
