Bullpen Shuts Door To Claim Series Win

Going into game two of the series, the Tigers' offense would start off hot. FHU would get two quick outs, but two singles and a walk saw the Tigers have bases loaded in the first. Jose Cazorla would promptly double to left scoring two runs, and saw the third run get gunned at home. In the second, the Tigers would get two more runs on two singles from Jacob Dezarn and Payton Rios to make it 4-1. In the 3rd, the Tigers would get an additional two runs on Justin Starkey's second homer of the series, making it 6-1 Tigers headed into the bottom of the  third. They would get their final run in the 7th, after a 2-out rbi single from Austin Vincent in the 7th.

Anthony Barrera took the bump for the Tigers in game two of the series. Barrera would not have his best outing of the year, as in the 1st, he would give up a run. Now in the 3rd, Barrera would allow another run after two singles and a hit by pitch. The 4th would not start off nicely for Barrera, as he would walk the leadoff batter. However, after a mound visit, Barrera would get two quick outs, but then walk the next two batters to load the bases. This would be all for Barrera, as he would exit the game for lefty Mason Mortimer. Mortimer would give up a single to the first batter which plated two, but he would get a pop up to end the frame, with Georgetown leading 6-4.

The next two bullpen arms for the Tigers would come in and shut it down. Chris Lenocker and Ashton Deskins would work scoreless frames, and get it to their closer in the 7th with a 3-run lead. Howard would get a quick out, but then give up a solo homer, but bounce back quickly to close this one out. Huwar picks up his 6th save of the year, while Deskins picks up his first win.
