Cheer takes 2nd at MSC Championships, garners hardware

Georgetown Cheer turned in its highest score of the season on Saturday at the Mid-South Conference Championships to finish 2nd at the meet behind Cumberlands.

The Tigers finished with a total of 92.04 points, just 1.62 points behind Cumberlands. The preliminary round accounted for 25 percent of each team's score, with the final round accounting for the remaining 75 percent.

In addition to the high score of the season, the Tigers also brought home a number of individual accolades. Sydnie West was named the MSC Cheerleader of the Year. Issac Harder was named the MSC Freshman Cheerleader of the Year.

Georgetown also had 6 Tigers named 1st Team All-Conference by the MSC:

Kirsten Easterling and Dylan Godsey were named 2nd Team All-Conference.

The Tigers will now wait to see if they earn an at-large bid to the NAIA Championships.
