Football seeded 4th in NAIA Playoffs

As announced by the NAIA on Sunday evening, Georgetown Football has earned the #4 seed for the upcoming 2023 NAIA Football Championship. The Tigers earned an automatic berth as the champions of the Mid-South Conference and will be making its 23rd all-time appearance in the playoffs.

With the 4-seed and expanded playoff format, the Tigers also earn a 1st-round bye and will host a 2nd round game on Saturday, November 25 at Toyota Stadium.

The Top 12 seeded teams receive the 1st-round bye. They are listed below:

1. Northwestern (IA) - 11-0
2. Grand View (IA) - 10-0
3. Keiser (FL) - 8-2
4. Georgetown - 8-1
5. Marian (IN) - 9-1
6. Indiana Wesleyan - 9-1
7. Bethel (TN) - 10-1
8. Montana Western - 9-1
9. Evangel (MO) - 11-0
10. Morningside (IA) - 9-2
11. College of Idaho - 8-2
12. Saint Xavier (IL) - 7-3

Teams seeded 13-20 will play in 1st round matchups on Saturday, November 18. The following are those 1st round games:

• St. Thomas (FL) (8-3) vs Reinhardt (GA) (8-2)
• Montana Tech (7-3) vs Dickinson State (ND) (9-1)
• Dordt (IA) (8-2) vs Ottawa (KS) (6-5)
• Baker (KS) (8-2) vs Louisiana Christian (9-1)
