Neal, Richardson named MSC Players of the Week
Darius Neal and Justin Richardson have been named Mid-South Conference Players of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday.
Neal grabbed the offensive honor for the 2nd time this season after running for 114 yards and scoring both touchdowns in Georgetown's 19-16 come-from-behind win over Cumberlands. His 2nd touchdown came with 1:45 left in the game and proved to be the winning score. The effort also moved Neal into 3rd place on the all-time career rush yards list with 2,974 and 4th in career rushing touchdowns with 35.
Justin Richardson grabbed Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time. In the win over Cumberlands, Richardson racked up 8 tackles, a pass breakup and an interception. The INT came with 6:09 to go in the game and set up the game-winning drive capped off by Darius Neal's 2nd touchdown run.
The Tigers look to remain unbeaten in the MSC with a big road trip to Campbellsville this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:00pm.
