Jones has career night as Tigers swat Golden Bears
Kyran Jones tallied a new career-high in points and tied his career-high in rebounds as he helped No. 1 Tigers scratch the Golden Bears Friday in the 27th Annual Central Bank Jim Reid Classic.
The sophomore from Bowling Green, Ky. scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds – 18 and 10 respectively in the second half – as Georgetown College men's basketball pulled away for an 87-71 victory. Andreas Jonsson was single-handily keeping West Virginia Tech in the game with seven first half threes. He finished with a game-high 31 points.
Jake Ohmer did much of his damage in the first half to help GC stay ahead. He finished his night with 27 points.
