Tigers hot start aids in 73-56 win

Georgetown College men's basketball started on an 11-0 run Monday against Campbellsville University. The Tigers (15-4, 12-4) never looked back. Jaquay Wales connected on some big threes, helping the home team find the early rhythm. Georgetown won 73-56.

Kyran Jones led three GC Tigers in double figures with 20, while Wales and Derrin Boyd each had 14. Jones also grabbed 12 rebounds, while Wales had five assists.

The lead ballooned as much as 21 early in the second half, but CU Tigers (9-12, 7-11) were not going down quietly. They mounted a rally that forced GC coach Chris Briggs to call time with his team up 11. It was a 20-14 run from there to finish the game out.

The Tigers are back in action 8 pm Thursday at Life University.
