Georgetown College men's basketball played its first road game Saturday in the Thomas More Classic. The No. 21 Tigers (4-0) nearly doubled up opponent Kent State Tuscarawas in the first half and then cruised to a 106-80 win in Crestview Hills, Ky.
Seven Tigers reached double figures against the USCAA opponent, led by Dante Adams' 19 points. Drew LaMont had 18, while shooting 60 percent from three-point range (6-of-10). Derrin Boyd scored 15. Kyran Jones had 11, while Seth Johnson, Jayrese Williams and Jermaine Patterson tallied 10 each.
Jones led the team with nine rebounds, and Jaquay Wales led with six assists. GC had 22 assists on 38 made baskets.
Georgetown is back in action 8 pm Thursday at University of the Cumberlands.
