Tigers bounce back with 40-point win

Georgetown College men's basketball bounced back in a big way with a 105-65 win over Indiana University Southeast. The No. 17 Tigers (9-2) started strong with three, threes and a three-point play for a 12-2 edge. However, the Grenadiers (3-10) caught fire from three-point range themselves to make the first half interesting.

The visitors tied it up late in the half and kept it close until a final surge capped with a buzzer-beating layup by Drew LaMont and the momentum was full back in the home team's pocket.

IUS got it within 10 several times in the second half, but never closer as the Tigers lead ballooned to 41 at one point.

LaMont led all scorers with 25, while Derrin Boyd got back to scoring with 16 points. LaMont led with 10 rebounds. Boyd add seven with three assists. Jermaine Patterson got hot late with several scoop shots and layups for 16 points. Jayrese chipped in with 14 points.

Georgetown takes a break for finals, returning to action for a 7 pm Dec. 16 showdown with Lindsey Wilson College.
