4 Tigers receive All-MSC Honors

After a 25-3 regular season, Georgetown Men's Basketball received multiple postseason honors by the Mid-South Conference on Thursday.

Tae Dozier, Jaquias Franklin and Jabrion Spikes were named to the 1st Team. Dre Boyd earned 2nd Team honors.

Tae Dozier averaged 11.1 PPG in the regular season, to go with 6.5 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.7 SPG, and 1.6 BPG. He had 15 games with at least 1 steal and 1 block and 6 games with at least 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Jaquias Franklin led Georgetown in scoring at 15.8 PPG, despite only starting 6 of 25 games in the regular season. He shot 38% from beyond the arc with 56 3-point field goals made. Franklin scored in double figures in 20 of 25 games. His best performance came against Cumberland on February 10th in which he scored a Georgetown season-high 37 points.

Jabrion Spikes also grabbed 1st Team honors. The junior guard averaged 13.3 PPG while shooting 55% from the field. He tallied 5 20-point games on the year, with a season-best 25 against Florida College on November 22nd, 2024.

Dre Boyd was named 2nd Team All-MSC. The junior averaged 9.9 PPG and 6.8 RPG, while shooting 63% from the floor. He had a 10-point, 12-rebound game against Freed-Hardeman on January 18th. In a 93-85 win at Cumberlands on January 23rd, Boyd scored a season-high 22 points on 9-13 shooting. Only 3 times in 23 games did Boyd shoot less than 50% from the floor.

The Tiger foursome will look to lead Georgetown to another MSC Tournament title starting Sunday against Lindsey Wilson. The quarterfinal tips off from Bowling Green at 6:00pm ET.
