Men's Golf finishes 3rd at Island Pointe

Men's Golf competed at the Island Pointe Intercollegiate at Island Pointe GC in Knoxville, TN over the weekend. The team showed strength and consistency throughout the 36-hole tournament and brought home a 3rd place finish in the 12-team field.

Christian Clements led the way for the Tigers. After a tough 81 in round 1, Clements bounced back in round 2 with a 75, which was tied for 3rd best in the round. He finished +12 overall and in a 3-way tie for 8th on the overall leaderboard.

Evan Coffey was a shot behind Clements overall as he shot 79-78 to finish in a tie for 11th at +13. Laine Schulten shot 79 in both rounds for a 158 total and a T-13 finish on the board.

Carter Zutterman was next on the board for Georgetown as he shot a 162 over the 36 holes to tie for 21st. Connor Smith finished in 47th with a 172.

The team will now have extended time to hone their game as the Tigers are next scheduled for the MSC Championships at the end of April.
