Zellman nets seven, Tigers win 12-1

Georgetown College men's soccer finished the largest portion of its non-conference schedule with a flare. For the second time this season, the Tigers (9-0) scored a dozen goals in a 12-1 road win against Mount St. Joseph University.

Luca Zellman broke up a 1-1 tie early and scored a double hat trick plus one – seven goals. He had 14 shots, 12 on frame, for a dominant evening in Ohio. Seba Bocaz Canales joined in the fun with a hat trick, three goals. Chris Gschwent got it all going with a goal in the seventh minute. Noel Roman added a goal in the first half to give the visitors a 5-1 lead heading into the break.

Zellman has 20 goals thus far this season, sitting second all-time in a single-season at Georgetown, two from tying to mark set by Tim Lawrence in 1994. Canales' hat trick put him at 14 for the season, fifth all-time, while Roman's goal gives him 11 for a tie at ninth.

Roman and Canales have also tallied eight assists, tying them at ninth in a single-season.

Mid-South Conference play gets under way Wednesday as the Tigers welcome in No. 8 Lindsey Wilson College. Kickoff is set for 8:30 pm at Toyota Stadium.
