Georgetown College men's soccer battled the rain and the Brescia Bearcats to stay perfect on the season. The Tigers (2-0) got behind early, but clawed back for a 2-1 victory.
Lucas Cadiz netted his lone shot of the night, taking a pass from Sebastian Bocaz Canales and tying the game up late in the first half. Bocaz Canales found Alessandro Carnicelli in the opening minute of the second half for the game winner.
Carnicelli was one on one with the goalie, pushed the ball through his legs and netted the goal to secure victory.
Theren Handlon came up with several big saves throughout the game to keep the Bearcats (2-2) at bay. Midway through the first half he faced a one on one challenge that he kick-saved, recovered and pushed the rebound shot over the cross bar for save two on that play alone.
Georgetown is back in action 5:30 pm Saturday hosting Lourdes University.
