Tigers tally seven in win over Cardinals

Georgetown College men's soccer finished off a road trip and non-conference games with a flare. The Tigers (5-0) defeated Concordia University Ann Arbor 7-1 Monday afternoon. Over the course of two games, GC scored 17 goals on 33 shots on frame. Nine different Tigers found the back on the net during the trip.

Alessandro Carnicelli got it going against the Cardinals with a goal in the ninth minute. Luca Zellman scored the winning goal three minutes later and then Angus Taylor scored the next two, starting the insurance goals. Sabastian Bocaz Canales had three assists and then scored the fifth GC goal. Esteban Betancurt Cardona and Jake McKettrick finished it off. The latter being the only goal of the second half by Georgeotwn.

Canales finished off a great weekend. He netted three goals and had four assists.

Georgetown surrendered one goal in the process as keepers Theren Handlon and Shjon Ripy faced a total of 11 shots on frame between the two games.

The Tigers are back in action 1 pm Saturday hosting Freed-Hardeman University for Senior Day.
