Tigers pick up road win over Bears

Georgetown College men's soccer equaled its best start under current coach Brent Chase Saturday with a road win over Shawnee State University. The Tigers (9-0, 4-0) were stymied in the first half, but assist leader Seba Bocaz Canales broke the stalemate and the visitors rolled 4-1.

The junior netted a goal off a pass from Chris Gschwent in the 51st minute. He followed not 20 minutes later with the game winner as Mark Zimmermann found him.

Gschwent hooked up with Jake McKettrick and it was 3-0 early in the second half. The Bears (3-6-1, 0-4-0) scored their lone goal and Joabe Barbosa got that one back as Luca Zellmann set him up.

The Tigers are back in action 6 pm Wednesday hosting Campbellsville University.
