Late goals lift Blue Raiders to win over Tigers

Georgetown College men's soccer took a late lead against No. 11 Lindsey Wilson College Friday in the Mid-South Conference quarterfinals. Seba Bocaz Canales scored his second goal for the Tigers (11-6-1) with just more than 15 minutes left.

Unfortunately, the Blue Raiders (12-2-1) were able to find the back of the net twice in the final five minutes to pull off the rally win, 3-2.

GC tallied double digit wins this season, the second time in three seasons. The men posted the most shutout wins in a decade and a half. Canales became the school's career assist and points leader as well as broke the single-season record for assists. He sits second in career goals, overtaking Nick Gregory with his second goal Friday.

The Tigers must wait for conference tournaments to finish to see if they make the national tournament field. NAIA Selection Show will be 1 pm Monday. Click here to watch.
