Shjon Ripy named MSC Defensive Player of the Week

Georgetown goalkeeper, Shjon Ripy, was named the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday.

The senior from Lawrenceburg, KY, recorded 6 saves in leading Georgetown to a 3-1 win over Oakland City to kickoff the 2023 campaign.

It is the first weekly award in Ripy's career. He will look to keep the momentum going on Thursday when Georgetown welcomes Blue Mountain Christian to Toyota Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30pm.
