Men's Tennis Swept by Coastal Georgia

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Tuesday was a difficult afternoon for the Georgetown College men's tennis team. The Tigers matched up with the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners in spring break action, and Georgetown only found one set victory on the day.

Georgetown (4-6) dropped all three doubles matches, and lost five of the six singles tilts in straight sets as CCGA (4-2) took the 7-0 win.

The top two doubles teams for Georgetown took two games each, but that was all the Tigers were able to take from the doubles action as CCGA grabbed all three matches to take a 1-0 lead headed to singles play. At the top of the singles lineup, Cole Wilson won the first set, and he forced the second set to a tiebreak, but he was unable to secure victory in the third, and CCGA swept the other five matches to seal the 7-0 win.

Georgetown will be in action on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Chaplin Park.
