Tennis drops opener in Hilton Head

Georgetown took on NCAA Division I George Mason to kickoff its trip to Hilton Head, SC in the PTR Springfest. The Tigers came up short as George Mason took the overall match, 7-0.

The doubles tandem of Parker Clarke and Tsugunosuke Hirose fought hard in their match but dropped it, 6-7. Clarke also played tough as the #4 singles match but ultimately fell, 6-7, 4-6. Leo Schirmer and Stephen Taylor did pick up a 6-3 win in doubles, but the third doubles match was not counted towards the overall team match standings. Schirmer and Taylor fell in straight sets in singles action.

The Tigers will take on another NCAA Division I for on Tuesday as they face Saint Louis University.
