Tigers fall to NCAA DI St. Louis

On day 2 of the PTR Springfest in Hilton Head, SC, Georgetown took on another NCAA Division I opponent, the Billikens of Saint Louis University. The Tigers were knocked off, 7-0.

The top doubles tandem of Max Barriere and Parker Clarke were in a tight match against the Billikens top duo when the match was called. SLU was leading 5-4, but the result was not counted towards the overall team match score. Stephen Taylor and Leo Schimere fell in their doubles match, 3-6, while Chase Hechemy and Andrew Kennedy fell in a tight match, 4-6.

In singles action, the Tigers again fought hard but couldn't break through in the win column. Max Barriere fell in #1 singles action, 4-6, 3-6. Matthew Smith played a tight match in singles action but fell, 5-7, 3-6.

The Tigers wrap up the week with a match against Coastal Georgia on Wednesday.
