Tigers fall in Hilton Head finale

Men's tennis concluded action in the PTR Springfest on Wednesday with a 7-0 loss to Coastal Georgia. It was the last of a 3-day event in Hilton Head, SC.

The doubles duo of Max Barriere and Chase Hechemy fought hard in their match but came up just short, 6-7. The same story happened to Parker Clarke and Tsugunosuke Hirose as they also fell, 6-7, in 2nd doubles action. Stephen Taylor and Logan Smallwood fell in 3rd doubles action, 1-6.

In singles action, Max Barriere fell in #1 competition, 4-6, 2-6. Matthew Smith did take a set as the 6th single. Smith did fall in the match in 3 sets, but maintained strength and toughness throughout.

The Tigers return home next week and get into MSC play on Wednesday against Lindsey Wilson at 2:00pm at the Lackey Tennis Center.
