Lindsey Wilson bests Tigers, 5-2
Georgetown took on Lindsey Wilson in MSC action at the Lackey Tennis Center on Wednseday. The Blue Raiders got the upper hand early and kept the momentum for a 5-2 team win over the Tigers.
The Tigers' doubles tandem of Maxcene Barriere and Chase Hechemy earned a tough 6-4 win, putting GC in position for the overall doubles point. The Blue Raiders countered with 6-3 and 6-4 wins in the other matches to take the team doubles point.
In singles action, Leo Schirmer won his #2 encounter, 6-4, 6-3. Parker Clarke needed a 3rd set tiebreak but came away with the win in 4th singles. The wins would prove to be it for Georgetown as Lindsey Wilson took the other 4 singles matches in straight sets.
The Tigers will look to rebound on Thursday as they welcome Shawnee State to town.
