Taylor picks up win in team loss to Lewis-Clark State

Georgetown stepped out of MSC play on Wednesday to take on (RV) Lewis-Clark State at the Lackey Tennis Center. The Warriors took down the Tigers, 6-1.

Stephen Taylor was a busy man on this day. He partnered with Logan Smallwood in #3 doubles but fell, 2-6, after the Warriors had already clinched the doubles point with 2 previous doubles wins. Taylor would return in singles action and would win a grueling match in 3 sets. The match proved to be one of the longest of the day, but Taylor prevailed, 6-3, 6-7, and 10-8 in the 3rd.

Leo Schirmer and Logan Smallwood also went 3 sets in their singles matches but they were each on the wrong side of 10-8 scores.

The Tigers will get back into MSC play on Thursday as they travel to Pikeville.
