Barriere reaches ITA Regional Final

Barriere reaches ITA Regional Final

Maxcene Barriere will continue his run in the ITA Southeast Regional Men's Singles Tournament. He defeated Cumberland's Julian Parada, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 in the semifinals on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, Barriere beat 7th-seed Quentin Villetorte (Cumberlands), 4-6, 7-6, 10-5.

He becomes the 1st men's player in program history to reach a singles final. If Barriere were to win in the final, he would join the Tigers doubles team of Edgar Saborit, and current Head Coach, Michael Cunningham, as the only ones to ever win a regional title at Georgetown.

Barriere will face either #1-seed Jan Silhavy (Lindsey Wilson) or 4th-seeded Hernan Toledo (Campbellsville) for the title.
