Men's Tennis falls in MSC Quarters
Georgetown Men's Tennis fell in the opening round of the 2024 Mid-South Conference Tournament against Cumberland on Thursday in Bowling Green, KY. The Tigers fell by a 4-1 margin.
Cumberland swept the doubles action as the Tigers top 2 teams of Maxence Barriere/Will Barnes and Chase Hechemy/Matthew Smith fell 2-6, and 4-6 respectively. Tsugunosuke Hirose and Andrew Kennedy were trailing 3-5 in their doubles match when it was abandoned after Cumberland clinched the team point.
Barriere picked up the lone point for Georgetown in singles action as he took down Cumberland's Daniel Wessels, 6-3, 6-4. The rest of the singles matches that were completed were won by the Phoenix in straight sets.
