ITA Men's Draw Announced

Georgetown College will host the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament in Men's Singles & Doubles competition starting on Thursday. The draws for each tournament have been announced.

In doubles competition, Alex Straiger and Will Barnes will start for the Tigers at 8:00am on Thursday against Midway's Axel Sperling and Izan Casado. The winners take on tourney's top seeded team of Martin Muller and Hung-Ju Wu (Cumberlands) at approximately 9:15am.

Chase Hechemy and Maxcene Barriere will team up to take on Marcos Moreno and Stefan Macheiner of Milligan College, starting at 8:45am. Their potential 2nd round match would be played at 10:00am.

Andrew Kennedy and Tsugunosuke Hirose will also start at 8:45am against Union's Diego Garcia Gil & Luke Geduldt. Stephen Taylor and Leo Schirmer will battle Bethel's Leonel Caspe and Arthur Trigno at 8:45am.

In singles action, Tsugunosuke Hirose is up first for the Tigers at 10:30am on Thursday against Pierluigi Cruypenninck of Cumberlands. Chase Hechemy also goes at 10:30am against Hernan Toledo of Campbellsville.

Alex Straiger kicks off the next window of action at 11:45am against Midway's German Collado. Will Barnes begins his singles run at 1:00pm against Killian Surmont of Cumberlands. Leo Schrimer also goes at 1:00pm in the singles draw against Union's Victor Bourguignon.

Stephen Taylor follows in the 2:15pm window against Gabriele Solda of Cumberlands. Maxcene Barriere will be on court at 3:15pm to take on Bluefield's Juan Agudelo.

All 2nd round singles play will begin on Friday, starting at 9:15am.

The tournament will take place at the Lackey Tennis Center on East Campus and is currently scheduled to run through Sunday.
