Men's Tennis honored seniors Will Barnes, Chase Hechemy, Tsugu Hirose, Andrew Kennedy, Matthew Smith, and Stephen Taylor on Saturday ahead of a matchup with Shawnee State. The day could not have gone better from start to finish as Georgetown handled the Bears, 7-0.

Chase Hechemy and Matthew Smith teamed up in #1 doubles and cruised to a 6-2 win. Will Barnes and Leo Schirmer were in the 2 slot and rolled to a 6-0 win, as did the tandem of Andrew Kennedy and Tsugu Hirose to clinch the doubles point.

The beat rolled on into singles as Leo Schirmer won in top singles action, 6-1, 6-4. Will Barnes cruised in #2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Tsugu Hirose was just as dominant in 3rd singles, 6-0, 6-1. Alex Straiger stepped into #4 singles and did not miss a beat, 6-1, 6-0. Stephen Taylor and Chase Hechemy capped the day off with 6-0, 6-0 wins in #5 and #6 singles.

The Tigers will look to continue the momentum into a Wednesday matchup against Cumberland. Action at the Lackey Tennis Center starts at 2:00pm.
