Tigers finish 8th in Cedarville

Georgetown competed in the Cedarville Collegiate Open on Friday and finished in 8th place out of the 19 teams in the competition.

The Tigers were led by the distance medley relay team of Ben Kinsey, Ike Madding, Brad Perkins, and Tre Troxler. The group finished with a time of 12:01, good enough for 2nd place.

The team run also proved successful in the 4x200 as Georgetown took 4th place with a time of 1:39.69, from the quartet of Bryce Tucker, Antwan Howell, Ameer Lee, and Walker McDonald.

Individually, Peyton Shotwell finished 4th in the high jump. Nick Clark and Sam Peoples finished 6th and 8th, respectively, in the 5K race. Wyatt Gatewood came home in 17th in the 3K run. Ameer Lee finished 24th in the shot put with a throw of 10.17 meters.

The Tigers will next compete on Saturday, February 11th in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Mount St. Joseph's Invitational.
