Men's Track 14th at UC Pepsi Invite

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The Georgetown College men's track and field team was back in action on Friday and Saturday as they headed south to the Pepsi University of the Cumberlands Invitational and Distance Carnival in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The meet was the second meet in a four week stretch as the Tigers build toward the Mid-South Conference meet and the NAIA postseason.

Georgetown posted a 14th place finish in the meet, netting a total of 17 points and six scoring finishes.

Four of the six scoring performances came in distance track events. Sophomore Nick Clark notched a fourth place finish in the 5,000-meter run, and teammate Ben Kinsey finished eighth in the same event. Elijah Walters finished eighth in the 1,500-meter run, and Bradley Perkins was eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The other two scoring performances came in the same field event - the javelin. Hayden Sheroan grabbed a podium finish in the javelin by taking third, and Noah Steely took sixth in the event.

The Tigers will be in action again on Thursday at the Campbellsville University quad meet.
