2nd place for men at Asbury

Men's Outdoor T&F finished a close 2nd at the Asbury Open on Wednesday, with a total of 55 team points. The host, Asbury, tallied 60 points for the win.

In the shot put, Wilson Pendleton and Ameer Lee finished 1-2 for big team points. Pendleton threw an impressive 12.87m, while Lee finished with a final throw of 9.80m to take runner-up. Pendleton also dominated the discus throw, winning the event by almost 23 feet over 2nd place.

Peyton Shotwell took home 1st in the long jump with a distance of 5.85m, over a full meter better than 2nd place. He also won the high jump at 1.90m.

On the track, Ameer Lee finished 2nd in the 100m with a 12.12 final time. Richard Harris finished 4th at 12.15 seconds. Harris and Lee swapped spots in the 200, with Harris taking 2nd at 24.43 and Lee ending in 4th at 24.99. Harris would also take home 3rd in the 400, with a final time of 52.71. The trio of Nick Clark, Ike Madding, and Sam Peoples finished 4-5-6 in the 800m event. Tre Troxler came home 8th.

Ben Kinsey and Bradley Perkins finished 3rd and 4th in the 1500m. Nick Clark came home in 3rd in the 5K with a time of 17:10.64.

The Tigers finished 2nd in the 4x400 run. Perkins, Kinsey, Madding, and Harris brought home the runner-up finish.
