Men's Volleyball dominates MSC Awards

The Mid-South Conference announced its year-end awards on Thursday. The honors were dominated by Georgetown as the Tigers won a share of the regular season title.

Jim Dwyer was named Head Coach of the Year. Ryan Gunn repeated as MSC Player of the Year. Finn Heinemann was named the MSC Setter of the Year.

Gunn leads the MSC averaging 4.01 kills per set , a .349 hitting percentage, and 0.48 serve aces per set. He also ranks 4th in total kills with 317. Heinemann finished 3rd in the MSC with 632 assists, while averaging 9.88 assists per set.

The Tigers also had 5 players named to the 1st Team and 2 named to the 2nd Team. Gunn and Heinemann were named 1st Team alongside Tyree Wesley, Krzysztof Kowalski, and CJ Bride. Michal Bak and Adam Szewinski garnered 2nd Team honors.

Tyree Wesley led the MSC w/ 0.94 blocks per set and tied for 1st w/ 21 solo blocks and 3rd with 53 block assists. Krzysztof Kowalski ranks 2nd in aces per set behind Gunn, while also 5th in hitting percentage (.270). CJ Bride finished the regular season 3rd in total digs (243) and digs per set (2.79).
