Men's Volleyball draws 7-seed in NAIA Tourney

After winning the Mid-South Conference Championship for the 3rd straight season, Georgetown Men's Volleyball now knows its path towards a potential national championship. The NAIA announced the draw for the 12-team championship field on Monday afternoon.

Georgetown earned the 7-seed in the field and will be in Pool B, along with 2-seed Vanguard and 10-seed Lawrence Tech. The Tigers will first play Lawrence Tech on Wednesday, May 1, at 2:00pm ET. On Thursday, May 2, Georgetown will play Vanguard, also at 2:00pm ET.

The winner of each of the four 3-team pools advances to the semifinals on Friday, May 3, with the championship match set for Saturday, May 4.

Georgetown played Lawrence Tech on March 5 at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym and won the match in straight sets. Lawrence Tech is out of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with an overall record of 15-14 and are on a 10-match win streak. The Blue Devils won the WHAC Tournament over Indiana Tech in straight sets.

Vanguard enters pool play with a record of 14-3 and received an at-large berth out of the Golden State Athletic Conference. Vanguard lost to #1 The Master's in that conference final. Georgetown last played The Master's on February 3, 2022, with the Tigers falling 3-2.

The 2024 NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship takes place at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
