It was a tough Sunday in Columbia, Ky. for Georgetown College softball. The Tigers (5-7, 0-6) dropped a pair in five to Lindsey Wilson College. The Blue Raiders (18-0, 12-0) remain perfect on the season with the 8-0 and 12-4 wins.
Annabelle Ramirez kept the GC bats fairly quiet in game one, but the visitors were coming to life early in game two. Kaylyn Barnett's two-out double scored Kristen Klimesh for the first lead of the day.
However, LWC answered back with four in the bottom half of the first and pounded out six hits for seven more runs in the second to put a strangle hold on the game.
GC got two back in the third, but were in danger of losing by run-rule in the top of the fifth. The Tigers pushed across a run in the top half, but the Blue Raiders answered back for the final tally in that game.
Georgetown is back in action 3 pm Friday hosting Martin Methodist College in the team's home opening weekend of the season.
