Herron named NFCA 2nd Team All-Region

Ainsley Herron has been named to the NAIA NFCA Region V 2nd Team, as announced by the NFCA on Friday.

Herron led the Tigers with a .347 batting average and 3 triples in the 2024 season. She finished 2nd on the team with a slugging percentage of .459 and 15 stolen bases, while driving in 19 runs. She also anchored a strong Tigers' outfield in committing just 3 errors in 75 chances for a fielding percentage of .960 in center.

In total, The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced 152 student-athletes from 64 NAIA schools. Six regions comprise the selections, with each region having two teams. With this honor, Herron is now eligible for the NFCA NAIA All-American teams, to be announced on June 6th.
