Pierce named MSC Player of the Week

Georgetown shortstop, Alanna Pierce, has been named the Mid-South Conference Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

In a 3-1 series win at Lindsey Wilson, Pierce led a Tigers offense that scored 35 runs. Pierce hit .500 in the series with a home run and 7 runs batted in. She also walked twice and wrecked havoc on the base path with 5 stolen bases. She recorded multiple hits in 2 of the 4 games in the series.

It is the first career weekly award for Pierce.
