Georgetown College women's basketball kept the game close for most of three quarters Monday night against No. 1 Campbellsville University. However, 23 turnovers leading to 17 Lady Tiger points hurt them in the end.

The Tigers (11-4, 4-3) fell 71-55 to the Lady Tigers (15-0, 7-0) in Campbellsville to start the second half of the season.

Jazzmyn Elston had the hot hand off the bench, hitting a couple of big threes in the first half to have GC down six at the break. The senior finished with 15. Madison Darnel grabbed eight rebounds, while Sophie Smith dished out six assists.

Georgetown is back in action 6 pm Thursday at Shawnee State University.
