Women's Basketball earns 3-seed in MSC Tourney

Georgetown Women's Basketball will be the 3-seed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament, as announced by conference officials on Saturday night.

The Tigers will take on Cumberland in the opening round of the tournament on Friday, March 1, with a scheduled tip time of 8:30pm ET.

In the regular season, Georgetown went 2-0 against Cumberland. The first game was an 87-53 win at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym on January 20th. The second matchup took place on the final day of the regular season, February 24th, with the Tigers prevailing 73-59. The winner will take on the Cumberlands/Bethel winner in the semifinal round on March 3rd.

Georgetown finished the regular season tied with Cumberlands at 8-4 in the standings, but Cumberlands won the tiebreaker based on the point differential between the two teams when they met in the regular season.
