Women's Golf places 10th at Music City Invitational
Georgetown Women's Golf finished 10th at the Music City Invitational, played at Twelve Stones Golf Club in Goodletsville, TN. In a tournament that saw no golfer break +10 over the 3 rounds of play, the Tigers showed bright moments.
Katherine Wesley got off to a strong start, carding a 79 in round 1. Wesley led the Tigers throughout, ultimately shooting a 3-round total of 253. Grace Heady stayed consistent over the tourney, shooting 85, 86, and 85 to finish 2nd on the team with a 256 final tally. Holly Holton showed tremendous poise after a tough 1st round. Holton stayed the course, made adjustments and ultimately improved her score from round 1 by 20 strokes in round 3. Sarah Hagedorn and Brenna Rose rounded out the 5-woman team for the Tigers, with both struggling against a tough course layout.
The team will next be in action on October 31st in the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament in Bowling Green, KY.
