Women's Golf wins at Boone's Trace

Georgetown brought home 1st place in the Invitational at Boone's Trace in Richmond on Tuesday.

5 Tigers placed in the top 7 in scoring to take home the team prize. Katherine Wesley led the way for GC at the par-72 course. Wesley shot a 79 in round 1 to take the individual lead and followed up with an 84 in round 2 to finish 2nd overall. Grace Heady finished 3rd overall, aided by a final round 79. Allison Shaffer and Holly Holton tied for 5th, each shooting a 172 over the 36-hole event. Sarah Hagedorn followed Shaffer and Holton in the standings.

Consistency was the key for the Tigers as they shot the same team score in both rounds, which led them to the team prize.

They'll next be in action at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament on April 17-18 at Bear Trace in Crossville, TN.
