Women's Golf finishes 9th at MSC Spring Tourney

The Georgetown Women's Golf team wrapped up a 2-day, 54-hole competition at the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament on Tuesday. The Tigers finished 9th out of the 11 teams in competition. The event was played at the par-73 Bear Trace in Crossville, TN.

Holly Holton got off to a strong start on Monday, shooting an opening round 80, to place inside the top-15. Round 2 proved tougher for everyone on the course on Monday. Holton fired an 86 in round 2, followed by an 83 in Tuesday's final round to finished tied for 21st place.

Katherine Wesley and Grace Heady each shot a 54-hole score of 265 to finished tied for 35th. Sarah Hagedorn shot a final round 89 for a score of 269 and finished T-42. Allison Shaffer was the 5th Tiger in the team competition. She shot 91-91-95 to place 49th. Brenna Rose competed as an individual and finished with a score of 305 to place 55th on the leaderboard.

The Tigers will now prepare for the Mid-South Conference Championships, taking place on May 8th and 9th at Bowling Green CC in Bowling Green, KY.
