Brock carries offense in loss to SCAD Savannah

Maddie Brock scored all 4 Tiger goals on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as Georgetown fell in a hole early against SCAD Savannah and could not recover in a 20-4 loss.

Brock's 1st goal came at the 11:25 mark of the first quarter to tie the game at 1. It would prove to be the Tigers' only goal of the entire first half as SCAD would score 12 unanswered, to lead 13-1 at the half.

In the 3rd, with the clock running, Brock found the goal for the 2nd time on a free position shot at 12:17. She would follow that with another tally less than 2 minutes later off a feed from Faith Boa, bringing the Tigers within 10 at 13-3. SCAD would score twice in the 3rd, including right at the horn, to retake a 12-goal lead, dashing the hopes of a Tiger comeback. Brock would get one more in the 4th, but SCAD's offense was too much on this day.

Georgetown struggled with ground balls and draw controls, allowing SCAD to set up its offense in prime positioning to keep its lead. The Tigers did hold their own in tying SCAD with 14 clears.

Georgetown returns home on Saturday to take on AAC foe, Brenau. The opening draw takes place at 1:00pm at Great Crossing High School.
