Tigers rally falls short against No. 22 TCC

Georgetown College women's soccer welcomed in No. 22 Trinity Christian College on Labor Day. The Trolls (3-0) struck first and held on late in a 2-1 win Monday.

The Tigers (1-2) struggled to find an offensive rhythm and managed just two shots, but Libby Miller made the most of a beautiful break away off a pass from Carlie Molique to pull the home team within one late. Unfortunately, a cushion goal early in the second half proved to be the difference.

Selah Hopkins, who scored both goals for TCC, made the most of a miss cleared ball and put a shot passed Megan Martin. The junior goalie had 11 saves on the day as Trinity Christian managed 17 shots, 13 on frame.

Georgetown is back in action 1 pm Saturday hosting University of Rio Grande.
