Doubles the difference in 4-3 win over IU East

Women's Tennis hit the road on Spring Break to Hilton Head, SC in the PTR Springfest. Up first in the 3-day event was a matchup with IU East. While singles action went back and forth, it was the Tiger effort in doubles competition that sealed a 4-3 win.

In singles action, Bailee Martin dropped a tough 3-setter, 3-6, 6-3, 0-1. Emma Hill and Samantha Spady came up short in singles action. In 4th singles, Maddie Gill got the Tigers on the board with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Hana Dixon followed suit with a 6-0, 6-4 triumph. Abby Moss won her singles match by default.

Moss along with Maddie Gill also took home a default win in doubles action. In #1 doubles, the duo of Bailee Martin & Samantha Spady took down the top 2 players for IU East, 6-3, for the crucial point. Lydia Prince and Emma Hill paired up in 2nd doubles action and brought back a 7-6 grinding win, giving Georgetown the overall triumph.

The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday to take on NCAA Division I Saint Louis University.
