ITA Women's Draw Announced

Georgetown College will host the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament in Women's Singles & Doubles competition starting on Thursday. The draws for each tournament have been announced.

In doubles action, Samantha Spady and Bailee Martin will kick things off for the Tigers on Thursday at 8:00am. They will take on the Midway duo of Sofia Rueda and Nana Hishida. If Spady & Martin win, they will go right into 2nd round action starting at approximately 9:15am.

Emma Hill and Lydia Prince will play their opening round match starting at 8:45am against Blanca Lopez and Yu Fang Liu of Cumberlands.

Hana Dixon and Madelyn Gill will also get their opener going at 8:45am. They will battle the UPike tandem of Genesis Medina and Gabriela Guacanes. The 2nd round for each team would start at 10:00am should they advance.

The women's doubles tournaments features 28 pairings from schools across the region with 4 teams earning 1st round byes. The quarterfinal round will take place starting at 8:00am on Friday.

In singles action, Madelyn Gill is scheduled to start her run in the 64-woman field starting at 10:30am on Thursday. She will take on Nicole Viljoen of Union (KY).

Emma Hill, Anna White, and Hana Dixon will all get going at approximately 12:00pm. Hill faces Martina Coghetto of Bethel (TN). White takes on Lindsey Wilson's Anastasiia Vorobiova. Dixon squares off against Edisa Hot of Bethel (TN).

The final trio of Tigers competing in singles are Abby Moss, Bailee Martin, and Lydia Prince. Their 1st round matches will start at approximately 1:15pm. Moss goes against Bethel's Cloe Casado. Martin will face Anastasiia Ivanchenko of Lindsey Wilson, while Prince battles Mara Guillen of Midway.

The tournament will take place at the Lackey Tennis Center on East Campus and is currently slated to run through Sunday.
