Abby Moss plays strong at Centre
Abby Moss led Georgetown on Sunday with 2 wins at Centre College. Only 1 counted towards the team standings as the Tigers fell to the Colonels, 6-1.
Moss was in action in #4 singles and came away with a smooth 6-3, 6-4 win. It proved the Tigers' only point of the day. Moss did pair with Anna White in #3 doubles and picked up a 6-2 win, but Centre had already clinched the doubles point with wins in #1 and #2 doubles.
Anna White nearly had another singles point for the Tigers. She won her first set, 6-4, dropped the 2nd, 2-6, and came up just short in the deciding 3rd set, 6-10.
Molly Archer and Lydia Prince fell in straight sets atop the singles competition. They paired up in doubles but fell 2-6.
The Tigers are next set to take on Huntington at the Lackey Tennis Center on Saturday, March 1 at 1:00pm.
