
Women's Tennis falls to Thomas More
Women's Tennis took on Thomas More on Saturday afternoon in northern Kentucky. The day proved tough for the Tigers as they fell to the Saints, 6-1.
Abby Moss picked up the lone win for Georgetown in singles competition. She was trailing 3-4 in the first set when her opponent had to retire, thus giving the Tigers the point.
Molly Archer fell 1-6, 1-6 in first singles action. Maddie Gill went in #2 singles but lost 1-6, 0-6. Lydia Prince and Lindsey Rikkerink each lost their singles matches 3-6, 0-6. Anna White was in #6 singles but lost 2-6, 1-6.
Doubles action didn't fare better for Georgetown. Maddie Gill & Lydia Prince lost their match, 0-6. Molly Archer & Abby Moss teamed up in 2nd doubles but fell 2-6 to clinch the doubles point for Thomas More. Lindsey Rikkerink & Peyton Blank paired up in doubles action but came up short, 5-7.
