Women's Track & Field earn USTFCCCA Academic Awards

Georgetown athletes continue to rake in academic honors along with tremendous athletic prowess. The Women's Track & Field team was the latest to be recognized for outstanding academic work.

The Tigers were recently named an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association). The team carried a grade point average of 3.64 in the 2021-22 academic year. According to the USTFCCCA, the school must qualify for the national championships, and the "cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's squad list for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar." Two individual Tigers were also named as USTFCCCA 2022 NAIA All-Academic Athletes. Sarah Bolton earned the honor majoring in psychology. Jalynn Landversicht is majoring in Marketing and Art. According to the USTFCCCA, the student-athlete must have a "cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by either Faculty Rep or Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office."
